yes that sure is what motivates us younger people to be sucessful in life and to work our way to being able to not have to worry or struggle financially. I agree, and there are jerks in every social class.

Point being that we all have personal limitations that prevent us from realizing equal results in many facets of living. It takes more than a MBA to run a company....it requires a certain personality type, the ability to manage risk, to manage people, to set goals for next year and the next 5 years and then make/implement a plan to attain those goals. It takes tenacity to keep going when things look bleak or the nerve to go against the mainstream and take your business in a different direction. Not everyone has that. Somehow it is fashionable to beat up the guy who is all of that, but not the people he employs (most of whom could never achieve to that level).

That is not to say that some folks just can't make it but rather we have to redefine success to fit us as individuals. It is more important to live up to your own potential even if it isn't as high on the ladder as the next guy. Stop looking up to see is ahead of you and look down to see how far you've come....it makes for a much nicer view, less likely to lead to envy and discontent.
You don't have to be Donald Trump or a CEO to become a millionaire. That's the biggest misconception.

Thanks, I know that very well. I used those people specifically because that seems to be the image of 'rich' so many people have. That is also why I suggested the book, The Millionaire Next Door. Some folks need to get a clue as to who 'the rich' people are before they are willing to shake them down. I'm tired of the TV image of success. Jet planes, vacation homes in exotic locations, personal shoppers....those people are so much in the minority that they shouldn't even count and yet when people like to pick on rich folks that is who they pull out to put on display. That is not the typical rich person in America. The second paragraph in my above post was intended to reflect a typical small business...but I see now I didn't make that clear.

perhaps you should be. without them, you would have NOTHING. the taxes the government get from oil companies alone will provide enough money to educate your children.

Sounds like envy. There are poor people in this world that would say the same about you.

yes.. but the difference is.. I wouldn't be whining about having to scale down flights on my private jet or have my own "personal" shopper shop for discounts.. Seriously.. to hear the rich whine is truly truly pathetic.. I don't care that they have all those things.. I don't need them..but to hear them whine because they may have to sacrafice that.. .come on!! REALLY!!! talk to me when you're eating PB& J sandwhiches to survive so that you can heat your house or something real!

They have a very warped sense of reality!!!

I don't whine when I have to cut some little extra's out of my life tomake things work.. because I KNOW that there are people with alot less and I'm fortunate to have what I do have.
