I originally thought you were referring to the current global warming trend being natural. Sorry, I'm just getting sick of the media & politician stating things as fact, when they are not.
It is natural. Even if we are helping it along its natural. Last I checked man was a natural critter, so what we create is natural, even if it poisons us like too many fish in a pond poison their environs.

The APS warning label might as well have read, "Look, here comes a bunch of absolute tripe that some guy sent in, and we at APS certainly don't believe a word he says, but hey, it's just a newsletter, not a peer-reviewed journal, so pretty much anything goes. We hope you can at least get a laugh out of it."

Your Lord Monckton is of course one whose degree is in journalism. Just the thing to make one a climate expert. Actually qualified climate experts don't think quite so much of Monckton as you do. You need not go further than wikipedia to read reviews of Monckton's work such as "sleight-of-hand to fool the unwary", or "full of errors, misuse of data, and cherry-picked examples", or "cherry-picking, downright misrepresentation and pseudo-scientific gibberish."

That is not science or magic, my friend, it is called logic.
OK, for you, as long as the world does not cease to exist, we WILL experience future glaciation, as well as future warming trends.

Whatever. Typically the word "natural" means "other than man-made".

So you're saying that the poisoning of ourselves is as natural as a bunch of tiny-brained fish poisoning themselves?

I rather we battle some REAL problems instead of magical ones... like CFCs, waste management, toxic and heavy metal waste, etc etc...

I usually give the benefit of the doubt to the work of thousands of actual scientists over the "sleight-of-hand to fool the unwary", or "full of errors, misuse of data, and cherry-picked examples", or "cherry-picking, downright misrepresentation and pseudo-scientific gibberish" produced by a single whack-job journalism major.

Well said!

Interesting, I was wondering what charlatan wrote that wonderfully confusing article - figured it couldn't be a world class scientist - they would have written something that can be understood.
