Here is a great "War on the Rocks" interview with Michael Kofman on the current situation. He basically concedes in this interview we are truly entering uncharted water here....Putin's Russia has never conducted a mobilization on this level before....and he makes the point this should have been carried out in April. He also addresses the nuclear threat.

Russia probably will too, involuntarily. Remember that earlier this year western governments froze about $300 billion of Russia’s foreign reserves.

He’s being expelled from the country. The Japanese consul apparently “was caught ‘red-handed’ receiving secret information on the effect of Western sanctions on the economic situation in Russia's far east. It said the classified information, which also concerned Russia's cooperation with an unnamed Asia-Pacific country, had been obtained in return for a ‘monetary reward’’.”

It's most likely China. Putin met with Xi months before the invasion. Putin told Xi about the impending invasion and the two celebrated their unlimited friendship. I am sure some planning was involved, like how China would secretly back Russia by sending weapons to North Korea in advance, etc., etc.

China's involvement won't be known for years if at all.

Whatever China may or may not be doing, it's not working.

LOL, yeah, if China did help, they definitely didn't give them any good technology or weapons that were worth it!

When does Russia plan to wrap up these fake referendums and consider those provinces/states their own?

And yet the EU natural gas reserves are at 87% at the unofficial stat of winter heating season. Target for that has been 80% by November 1-

There’s apparently growing pressure on Norway to step up production as a relatively ethical source of petroleum products for the region.
