Commander of the Vostok battalion spoke about the tank of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the crew welded inside

September 20, 2022, 14:36

Khodakovskyon the front line near Kherson, the soldiers noticed a Ukrainian tank, the hatch of which was welded. On Monday, September 20, he described this case in his Telegram channel.
“The other day, ours saw an enemy tank and were about to destroy it, but its atypical behavior suspended the decision: the tank lifted the barrel up and began to rotate the turret, as if signaling surrender,” he wrote.
According to Khodakovsky, after the fighters approached the tank, they found that the hatches were welded on the car.
“Our guys got close to the car and saw that the hatches on the tank were sealed, the crew was simply walled up, like in a tin can, and sent to die,” the battalion commander added.
On the same day, a former Ukrainian soldier, senior lieutenant Valeriy Gnatenko, spoke about the “bestial” attitude of the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine towards soldiers. He noted that in the troops "no one considered them to be people" and there they "brought down their own", not reaching the front. As an example, he gaveexecution by Ukrainian servicemen of their own colleagues under the influence of alcohol and drugs. This was done solely for fun, the officer emphasized.
Earlier, on June 14, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that in the areas of hostilitiesIncidents with the shooting of Ukrainian servicemen in the back by Ukrainian nationalist units have become more frequent. According to the agency, then the barrage detachments of Ukrainian nationalists opened fire on more than 30 servicemen of the 54th brigade of Ukrainian troops who decided to surrender in Novomikhailovka.
Before that, in May, it became known that the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the party "Servant of the People" Maryana Bezuglayacontributedto the Ukrainian parliament a billthat allows officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to kill soldiers who arbitrarily left their positions or refused to obey an order. Changes were proposed to be made to the charter of the internal service.

As Ukraine consolidates its territory, people begin to settle in and it becomes clear Russia will never be back, I think we can look forward to seeing a very heavily armed Ukraine for many years into the future.

Even if the Crimea Bridge is not destroyed there will never be another time when Ukraine cannot reach it if they need to destroy it. That's the case for right now - Ukraine can't reach it.
That being the case, Crimea itself will be strongly defended if Ukraine ends up with possession. Russia will never again be powerful enough to invade Ukraine.
The whole problem in the beginning (2014) is no one thought Russia would take over Crimea.

The world will insure Ukraine has heavy equipment with long enough range and accuracy to stave off future Russian ambitions.

The fishhook shaped battle lines, with the Ukrainians actually inside the fishhook, allows Ukraine to swiftly move troops from one side to the other. Russian troops, meanwhile, on the outside of the fishhook, must scramble all the way around if they are to assist each other.

It is described as a "beautifully defensible grave", and are all within range of Ukrainian artillery. Speaking of the Russian dilemma, a spokesman said, “Under the current condition, it is impossible to either strengthen them and saturate them with ammunition, fuel, and equipment, or simply begin to withdraw them to the left bank of the Dnieper. Any movements of large masses of troops in the area of crossings will be easily detected and hit by missiles and artillery.”.....
"Russians have been disconnected from their rear,” the senior European official said, pointing to the logistical conundrum that could tilt the contest in favor of the slow-moving Ukrainian forces. “So [you] can have an excellent defensive position, but if you don't have ammunition and food, then it is a beautifully defensible grave.

This counteroffensive was NOT deliberately stopped. The amassed Russian defenses stopped it. Ukrainian units are still straining to attack here and there but to no avail. They want to keep going but can't. The Ukrainians took heavy losses in their counteroffensive and have squandered their resources that they had amassed over the summer. And even if they deliberately stopped it, that shows weakness and the inability to continue.

It is a good thing that the Ukrainians cannot continue as you had said in your previous post because they are putting their head in a noose and would take even heavier losses.

And staff academies will NOT be studying the Ukraine counteroffensive, except as an example of what NOT to do. It's a failure. Failures aren't studied in academies as "successful piece of soldiering".

You can't really blame the Ukrainians though. They had few options on what they could do. They were being slowly pushed back by the Russians for months and had to get some kind of attack in. But it was still too weak. It was the best that they could do with their manpower and materiel.

Sounds like hostage taking by the Luhansk puppet government. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/...aff-of-treason

"...Separatist authorities said the pair had been recruited by the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and Ukraine’s secret services and were passing information about Luhansk’s military personnel and equipment to Washington.

The regional security body, which numbers Russia and Ukraine among its 57 members, said the charges were “fabricated” and that the men had been punished for performing their official duties.

OSCE Secretary General Helga Maria Schmid on Monday demanded their immediate release as well as that of another unnamed colleague being held.

“Our colleagues remain OSCE staff members and had been performing official duties as mandated by all 57 participating states,” Schmid said. “I call for their immediate and unconditional release.”

The Vienna-based OSCE added in a statement that the organisation would “pursue all available channels to secure the privileges and immunities of current and former OSCE officials”...."

The Wagner battalion is not Nazi. The Russians hate Nazis and want nothing to do with them. They defeated the Nazis in WW2.
