It appears Reuters is a Putin puppet.

Folks, peace is the only solution. The negotiations need to start. US generals have already acknowledged that Russian troops are not going to leave and that Iran is providing endless drones.

No need to send in our troops. That's not an option anyway. War, unfortunately, is expensive. It has cost Russia $211b. Russia is reportedly spending 7% of its GDP in this war. That is a small change in the combined GDP of the EU and the USA. We just need to stay the course until Russia has exhausted its resources in the war.

Just read that Russia lost another fighter jet. That's a total of 4 in two days. These planes cost around $30m each. That's a $120m worth of fighter jets they lost in two days. In addition to shooting down Russian airplanes, Ukraine has been attacking Russian oil facilities and logistics. It all adds up to real monetary losses for Russia in the long run.

Russia would take the gloves off to protect Crimea.

Remember that Denys is a propagandist.
Uh, yeah. You think Russia is just sort of taking it easy with Ukraine. I never watch Denys.

I think Russia is doing everything they can to take the portions of Ukraine they must have if they are to retain possession of Crimea.

I also don't think there will be a ground invasion by Ukraine into Crimea until after all routes of resupply have been destroyed. No reason to sacrifice the Ukrainian army unnecessarily.
The landing ships have been targeted and some of them eliminated. Kerch Bridge will, some day, be history. Sevastopol has been shown to be unsafe for Russia ships, and that won't ever change.
Today, Denmark pledged their entire military weapon inventory to Ukraine. Germany stepped up support.

All indications are, there will never be a day when Russia troops are safe in Crimea. I, personally, believe Russia will never be able to rebuild to modern standards. Even during the peaceful years they could not produce a working, combat ready version of the T-14 Armata. God knows they did talk about it, though - along with nuclear weapons, space weapons, and threats to "take off the gloves".

Xi has been the middle man trying to bring them to the table. It looks like there was a chance of negations taking place a few months back. But he recently stated the conditions are not right for negotiations now. Russia just secured another city. They aren't going to stop now. Maybe if they get bogged down for awhile and aren't able to secure new land, then Putin will agree to peace talks. But if they happen to get some momentum, there's no way Putin is going to stop.

It's no wonder Germany is ramping up it's military production. The USA should be doing the same, but those jobs are dirty, noisy, not fun, won't make you rich, so good luck getting the youngins into production mode. What a joke the west has allowed itself to become. It is no wonder Putin decided to "seize the moment". While it's been a disaster for Russia as well, Russia has always been a disaster. It seems as though Russia is trying to pull the west down to it's level of misery. Americans, aren't used to suffering. They whine about stupid stuff like pronouns. Imagine what would happen if food had to be rationed. Imagine what would happen if instead of 8% inflation, we have 100% inflation and rampant shortages? If we keep installing dummies like Biden, and China and Russia continue on friendly terms, they have a real chance at piercing the armor of the west's economic system and way of life in general.

Ukraine has adopted an official law prohibiting any negotiations with Russia.

Also they throw people in prison for speaking out against the regime in Kiev. Not very "democratic" of them.

Russia is playing the long ball, a war of attrition against middle-aged conscripts.
