Now the tank battles will go a bit different. Nothing like an American made tank that can shoot and communicate while on the move and still hit the target.

Please help me understand why Russians are routinely less optimistic about their own futures than the pro Russian mouthpieces in this thread. Why the discrepancy?

I would love to understand it myself but my only thought is it has to do with the current political climate.

According to German paper Bildt, the rumor has it that US and Germany are going to pressure Zelensky to negotiate for peace, which probably means giving up some land, and the pressuring tool of course would be cutting back the military aid.

Bildt and The Telegraph are tabloids, so it should be taken with a grain of salt, but if true, then the war will end the same way as the Winter War did in 1939-40

Germany and US ‘will pressure Zelensky to negotiate with Russia’
German tabloid reports ‘secret’ plan to force Ukraine’s hand on opening peace talks by scaling back weapons deliveries
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/202...%20on%20Friday.
Germany and the US will put pressure on Ukraine to negotiate with Russia by scaling back weapons deliveries in what would be a major blow to Kyiv’s hopes of victory, German media reported on Friday.

Bild, a German tabloid, reported what it described as a “secret” German-American plan to force Ukraine’s hand on opening peace talks, citing sources in the German government.

Under the plan, Washington and Berlin would supply Ukraine with sufficient weapons and armour to hold the current front line, but not enough to retake occupied territory

There was an unusually violent storm in the Black Sea. It virtually wiped out Russia beach front military preparations. They'll have to start over. This time, however, the Ukrainians are a bit closer and will take out anything they can.

This storm also illustrates why Russia did not want to pull their fleet back to the Russian port of Novorossiysk. It has been closed to all activities, including the shipping of oil.

On the civilian side, cars were swept away and about 500,000 people on Crimea are without power. Many building damaged.

The Dubai Airshow was held last week. America did fairly well, selling its share of military aircraft and hardware. Russian officials brought 250 samples of weapons and equipment, but its state aerospace and defense company Rosoboronexport did not secure a single contract during the event, The Moscow Times reported.

Russian population peaked in 2000 at around 150 million people. they are at close to 142 million, now, with a birth rate that is plummeting.

The movie, "Napolean" is getting a lackluster reception here in the US. But in Kyiv it got a standing ovation! What gives?....
Well, about half way through the movie Moscow burns down and the people went wild. They spontaneously leapt to their feet and shouted and applauded.
I love it. Russia will never be forgiven for what they have done and Russians will never be safe anywhere in Ukraine.

The US has invaded more countries than any other in history.

We had the Bay of Pigs Invasion in Cuba, we've tried to assassinate their leader many times, we embargo them...we still tell Cuba what they can and can't do with threats.

Oh but dumb Ukrainians think that America is the ONLY one that has right to do it.

Not Russia.

But WHY - I'd like to know the answer.

And that's one of the reasons I support Macgregor as a public figure, because he was intelligent enough to look into who "Ukrainians" really are, and he figured out fast enough, that this "Ukrainian war" was not a good deal for America in the long run.

Not at all.

That is PRECISELY the core issue Russia has regarding Ukraine becoming a NATO member. NATO membership involves nuclear weapons access/installations. Such weapons may not be handed directly to, or totally controlled by Ukrainian authority, but NATO members “host” NATO bases which in fact do involve nuclear capability.
