He should be careful what he eats at Lukashenko's.

Maybe that's why the MoD will offer contracts to the Wagner crowd; so they'll no longer be under Prig's command. They'll be following Moscow's orders. Their leader will have been rendered superfluous, if they don't mind signing on with Shoigu. They might not be interested in doing that, though. Or some of them might not. That would be the same MoD that failed to provide them with enough weapons earlier in the war.

No, as I have said before. Russia is overstretched militarily. Troops are needed in all these former Soviet Republics Putin is trying to control.

A full-on draft will be needed for Putin to remain in power.

Putin is weakened tremendously. This is the start of his downfall. Who knows who or what will take his place.

I have been hearing this a lot. But a case for Putin can be made too.

1. If Prigozhin was a threat, he has been removed which makes Putin unchallenged now.

2. Putin was able to convince Prigozhin to give up without a fight which makes Putin powerful.

The whole story is very very weird. But I can't resist adding one more:

3. Insurrectionists did not enter the Federal Assembly. You know, some other countries were not so lucky. Lol.

P.S. In other news this is hilarious:

Wagner has been running the show for a while now, this only re-confirmed it.

The way Prigozhin badmouthed the Russian army, he could be mistaken for Ukraine's PR guy. LOL

"Prigozhin couldn’t get the Russian Army to come over as expected. He folded his hand. FSB will eventually detain him for investigation. Then he will be murdered in the coming 90 days. Putin immeasurably weakened. Makes him very desperate. Dangerous." Barry R McCaffrey

Got to wonder what else is going on with the various Russian military forces.

So Wagner soldiers can join up with the Russian military. Pay difference aside, this seems a poor option for a professional soldier for all sorts of reasons including they were just involved in a coup attempt.

They can go back to their staging grounds in Ukraine and then what? Presumably, there will be no more paychecks from Putin, and their leader has departed to Belarus.

Do they follow him? Head to Africa? What?
