A Russian math teacher has been arrested for giving a quiz with the following question:
Question: At the current rate, when will Russia take over all of Ukraine and at what cost in personnel?
Ans: The year 2582 at a cost of 500 million soldiers.
One thing about this Russian war, is it shows us Russian elites don’t even care about the war.
Russia doesn’t pay its troops, it doesn’t feed or house or train them properly, it doesn’t give them good weapons or equipment. It doesn’t pay out life insurance if they die or disability if they get seriously injured.
That’s why this war is a joke. The first step to being a dictator, is you treat the military like royalty. It doesn’t matter if you have a billion troops if you can’t even give them the basics.
When this war ends, Russia will see that before you start invading countries, you might want to make sure your troops are actually taken care of.
If Russians don't want to be killed, they should stay in Russia. No one is killing them there.
They had been brutalizing their Kindred for years...among other antagonisms.
It was a Special Military Operation defensive/preemptive move.
They wanted peace...tried several times. But the U.S./West/NATO looooooves war. So.....
Interesting news on Russian nationals seizing Belgorod. The start of the fall of Putin and his government will continue. And why isn’t the Russian military taking of this issue then? Are they that stretched thin, corrupt and poorly trained?
Sometimes ya just gotta smile.. Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a chilling warning to the West, saying any country which tried to “interfere” would face immediate consequences.
That was back last year when we heard all about the 6000 nukes, and Annihilation, and End of Civilization and so forth. There is still a lot of US based opposition to assisting Ukraine but they're getting quieter. There are real heroes in this war, Zelensky being one of them.
It's funny about people, how some of them are able to rise to the call. Our own US history has several. The world has many.

This is simply a PR stunt to distract from Ukraine battlefield defeats and the death/injury of their general Zaluzhni. Ukraine is more interested in winning the PR battle to keep stealing western money than winning the actual war.
What they will do with Bakhmut? Same they did with other cities. Rebuild them. Supply food, water, healthcare. Shelters. Etc.
Would probably be easier to raze it and build from scratch. There are no non-military inhabitants now and likely won't be any returning for a long time.

Pretty sure support for this war has fallen significantly since last February. And the American people's belief that Ukraine will win is nearly half what it was last year.
