You are telling me that "it's not Russia," but it sure feels more and more like it.
The entire western media??? This is Not Russia. That's absurd.

The US is sending the MLRS/HIMARS. They are just not going to send the long range rockets for these.

An M270 MLRS battery can fire a range of munitions, with the most advanced able to hit targets up to 300km (186 miles) away. However, it can also fire shorter-range rockets with a range of around 70km (43 miles).

Limiting Ukraine to the smaller rockets could be a way for the US to avoid escalating the conflict, while still significantly improving Ukraine's arsenal.

A senior US official quoted by the Washington Post said the White House was comfortable with giving Ukraine the MLRS, but would withhold the longest range weapons compatible with the system.
But they are on the way.

More 155 mm artillery for the #UAarmy: self-propelled howitzers M109 have already arrived to UKR!
the US never even announced they were going to send these and they are already in country.

Mainstream Western media - yes, pretty much.

Conversations were intercepted in Russian. Mainstream media did not alter those communications or interpretations. That's not how things work here. Are there plenty of negative things to say about our mainstream media..yea. But interpreting messages in Russian is not ambiguous...my God.

It could be critical to the battle.
It is not likely that Russia will survive the war with its economy intact. A poorer, less industrialized Russia means a safer world.
In time their navy would rot at the pier.

That's not what I am talking about.

What I am saying is that Western mainstream media clearly *translates* selectively only one side of a story, backed up by true or fake "proofs" - depending on what Ukrainian propaganda machine supplies them with.

And totally disregards translation of anything that might contradict the "narrative," yet would give a more objective picture.

Since imports to Russia have taken such a hit, it might be a good time to find out exactly what products have traditionally been imported and from where.
* Russia imported nearly 300B in goods last year.

* European trade partners generated 42.5% (about 120B$) of import sales to Russia while 6.7% (20B$) worth originated from North America. Since Europe and North America no longer welcome Russian containers, nearly all that will disappear.
Listed in order of dollar value, but ignoring country of origin, here's a breakdown of what they bought.

  1. Machinery including computers: US$54.3 billion (18.5% of total imports)
  2. Electrical machinery, equipment: $36.8 billion (12.5%)
  3. Vehicles: $26.8 billion (9.1%)
  4. Pharmaceuticals: $13.8 billion (4.7%)
  5. Plastics, plastic articles: $12.6 billion (4.3%)
  6. Optical, technical, medical apparatus: $8.7 billion (3%)
  7. Articles of iron or steel: $6.4 billion (2.2%)
  8. Iron, steel: $5.9 billion (2%)
  9. Organic chemicals: $5.8 billion (2%)
  10. Fruits, nuts: $5.4 billion (1.8%)

There will be a scramble to find new trade partners, of course, and with Russia being expelled from SWIFT, it may be difficult to arrange for substitutes. SWIFT enables firms in one country to make direct payments to another country, bank-to-bank.

I'm pretty sure Pharmaceuticals and medical equipment have been exempted.

It would have been foolish to send those rockets and a sign of escalation. For once I agree with Biden's choice concerning this war.

It remains to be seen whether Russia can achieve the fake objectives concocted by the Pentagon and spread around by its shills.
