That's fine, except one problem. AFU command does not confirm all this wonderful progress in their daily report.
There are several contradictory reports.
One is of course by Prigozhyn, who blamed Russian regular troops in abandoning the flanks and retreating.
That information is not confirmed by MOD, AFU and, is called wrong even by a local AFU commander, fighting on the above mentioned direction.
As the result, now, there are several theories, one wilder than another, on what exactly is going on in Bakhmut direction.
We'll see tomorrow.
Yep, and once Russia deals with the Eastern Slavs, they can go absorb the Western Slavs of Poland, Czech and the Southern Slavs in Bulgaria, Croatia etc. It's just a family affair and we have no business stopping them. LOL
... And then on to what they REALLY want, which is complete control of the Black Sea. That way they could blackmail their half of the world using food as a weapon.
The US Ambassador to South Africa, Reuben Brigety, accuses that country of supplying weapons to Russia. The transport of weapons from South Africa took place in spite of South Africa's claim of neutrality. The ship involved turned off their transponder so that weapons could be loaded in secret, then turned it on again after it left harbor.
South Africa has been caught. They cannot expect to be treated as full trade partners with most western countries when they act in this manner. So there will be consequences.
Unspoken is the implication for Russia, who is evidently so short of weapons that they have to turn to South Africa and Iran for assistance. While the relationship between USA and South Africa is cordial, the relationship between UK and South Africa is much more important. The issue was brought up with UK officials in December.

Prigozhin accused Zelensky of lying when he said Ukraine "needed more time to prepare," and claimed Ukraine's counteroffensive was "in full swing," and Bakhmut was the start of it.
Ukrainian military officials say Bakhmut is merely part of a "positional struggle."
According to Western military types, it is part of "shaping operations," standard before major joint operations where "weapons depots, command centers, armored vehicles, and artillery systems are targeted to" prepare the battlefield for the advancing force.
There's a video from a Russian news show in which former Colonel Khodaryanok points out that Ukraine has received a lot of precision guided missiles but hasn't used many of them, and predicts Ukraine's counteroffensive will begin with massive missile strikes and electronic warfare.
in other news, reports of Abram tanks arriving in Germany ahead of schedule. Training of Ukrainians will begin shortly.
Today's fire is a factory in Moscow that makes engines for MiGs
