1. Russia is selling more oil than ever before, but at a loss. This is good news for the world because it helps keep prices down. Saudi Arabia's cutting oil production does not help Russia.

2. The Russian Ruble is at the lowest level since the invasion. Normally, this makes Russian products cheaper and more attractive to buyers, but Russia is not making anything worthwhile to sell. If you are a brave traveler, Russia is a bargain right now.
No, no, no. Pay attention to the videos you post. The Ruble is at the lowest level since November, not since the invasion began.

The value of the Ruble is almost double what it was in March of last year. It is currently on a slide, but at the current rate of decline it will be at least another year or two before it would be back down to the low point again. But even if it does get back down to that level, its not going to change anything. Russia didn't stop the war the first time the Ruble bottomed out and they won't stop it the second time. As the video said a falling Ruble is not bad news for the Russian economy. A weaker currency means more competitive exports for Russia.

Other important points in that video. Airplane parts and computer chips are still being smuggled into Russia, and are being used for military purposes. So they are not going to have any shortage of those.

Sanctions are not helping to win this war.

Prigozhyn ordered temprary artillery seize fire in Bakhmut because of the American journalists visit. They will be ushered in by the AFU 57th brigade commander "Cerberus". In Prigozhyn's words, "press in sacred and American journalists are press too. Sort of".

Wagners warned - we send you Hello but, don't try to use this to sneak in reserves along with journalists, or we will blast them.

It's not looking good for the Ukrainians.

Ukraine war: Bakhmut defenders worry about losing support

A year ago Volodymyr and his men were firing all 40 barrels of their BM-21 Grad rocket launcher in one go. Now they can only afford to fire a few at a time at Russian targets.

"We haven't got enough ammunition for our weapon," he explains.

His unit, the 17th Tank Battalion, is still being called on to provide fire support to Ukrainian forces desperately clinging on to the edges of Bakhmut, the eastern Ukrainian city which Russia has spent months trying to capture.

Russian forces are getting ever closer to their goal of taking the city, but at enormous cost.

He says Ukraine has already burned through its own stocks of Grad ammunition, so is relying on rockets sourced from other countries. Volodymyr says supplies are coming from the Czech Republic, Romania and Pakistan. He complains the rockets originating from Pakistan are "not of a good quality".

Ukraine's call for more weapons and ammunition has only become louder the longer the war has gone on. The focus now is preparing for a major offensive. But at the same time Ukraine is still having to expend huge resources on just maintaining its position.

Nah...
THIS CHART shows clearly the Ruble is lower with respect to the dollar than it was last April.
SWITCH TO 2 YEAR CHART and you can see the Ruble is lower than it was in 2021, but not as low as it was immediately after the invasion.

Russia has little to export. Your attempt to portray the ruble's demise as a Russian advantage is futile.
Sanctions, boycotts, brain drain, budget deficits, and isolation will destroy Russia.
Russian airlines are stripping planes for parts. FULL STORY HERE. It will be a slow death since fewer aircraft are actually needed in Russia these days, but the industry will die.

Sanctions have nothing to do with winning a war. They are intended to strangle Russia economically and have become independent of the outcome of the war.
There will be no winning, no losing and no peace treaty in this war. Hostilities will cease at some point and Ukraine will emerge as better able to defend itself while Russia continues the decline begun with the collapse of the USSR.

Are you deliberately miss reading my post? I clearly said last March, not April. At least now you are admitting that Ukraine can't win this war. I'm pretty sure you have been claiming for some time that they would win it.

Gaslighting? Giving you facts that you don't like is not gaslighting.

"More than 98% of the combat vehicles promised to Ukraine have already been delivered. That means over 1,550 armoured vehicles, 230 tanks, and other equipment, including vast amounts of ammunition," he told reporters at NATO headquarters in Brussels.

"In total, we have trained and equipped more than nine new Ukrainian armoured brigades. This will put Ukraine in the strong position to continue to retake occupied territory," he said at a news conference with Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel.

Russia initiates large-scale resettlement to Ukraine's occupied territories

Quote:
people from poor and remote regions of Russia are being brought to Ukraine's occupied territories and provided "every possible support" from the occupation authorities, including housing, employment, and loans for developing businesses. The local Ukrainians are being forcibly deported "under various pretexts" to Russia, especially those suspected of "adhering to pro-Ukrainian positions."
Quote:
The Reintegration Ministry reported on March 29 that over 19,000 Ukrainian children have been forcibly deported to Russia. Additionally, the National Resistance Center reported on April 12 that over 100,000 Ukrainian children from Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts have been transported to Russia under the pretext of receiving "medical treatment."
