The most corrupt country in Europe still can’t decide which corrupt official gets the U.S. tax payer money for a new yacht and mansion.

Who could’ve seen this coming?
I read the link you provided ....no mention of yachts and mansions...
just Zelensky keeping on top of corruption issues ...which, as per the article, was paying too
much for aid supplies.

Which is more than I can say for super corrupt Putin and his cronies.

Because Biden was the point person on Ukraine in the Obama Administration. He actively worked to clean up the country. As vice president he traveled to Ukraine six times, as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations committee before that he was well aware of the problems the nation was dealing.

Ukraine has certainly had it's challenges, with corrupt public officials and corrupt judges and prosecutors, but the people really want reform ... they really want a modern republic, they really want to be free of foreign influence and oligarchs and Russian puppets. Ukraine can use all the help it can get.

Ukraine takes two steps forward, one step back in anti-corruption fight | Politico

"President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is adamant that his country’s future is in the EU, but is under pressure over Constitutional Court reforms."
That's just how it is. Ukraine and Russia were both under the Soviet system for seventy years, and they had very similar corruption problems. The difference is that Ukraine has been under pressure to clean up it's act and reform it government and judiciary. The people of Ukraine demand it.

Russia under a corrupt cabal led by Putin, a man who murders his critics, has not even tried to start cleaning up it's act.

This puts a different complexion on Poland’s “generosity”:

Poland to ask EU for compensation for supplying tanks

Poland will ask the EU for compensation for the cost of Leopard 2 tanks it wants to send Ukraine, the Polish prime minister said on Tuesday. “We will apply for reimbursement to the European Union, it will be another test of goodwill,” Mateusz Morawiecki told a news conference.

From what I have heard, the potential crews have been training in simulators for a while now. May not take as long as you think.

Tanks cost money. The German Leopard 2 cost about 11 MILLION dollars per unit. So do maintenance and spare part upgrades. Throw in NATO ammunition the costs go that much higher.

Screw it I will pay the costs in higher taxes and donate to fundraisers to support this since it is the Right thing to do IMO.
