I live in NJ but work (maybe after the 27th worked) in NYC. NYC residents voted for a man with a communist background (without even knowing his real name).
None of this is shocking. Looking to leave the Tri-state myself; it will get much worse before it gets better.

Keep pretending that you don’t get that the mandates are the issue here.
They are right there too. Son just got an email from SDSU he can't return to class without the 3rd booster. They will do it with the 4th booster in the works too.
Wow. UCSD will probably follow since they are a CA university.
The spiral down the totalitarianism drain we go.......
It's not the number of people taking the shot, it's the government MANDATING it. Why don't you people get that?
lol @ "you people". I love you too, brother.
At some point it won't matter where you live - it will be either all mandates or no mandates. I'm fully vaxxed and boosted, just like President Trump, so I'm good either way.
Actually, that is an incorrect statement. No child is FORCED to take any of those vaccines. SOME states require them as a condition for enrollment in schools, but even then they may require only a subset of those.
I should have said "Are you upset that the majority of Americas children receive 14 vaccines by the time they are 2 years old?"
"All states require children to be vaccinated against certain communicable diseases as a condition for school attendance. In most instances, state school vaccination laws expressly apply to both public schools and private schools with identical immunization and exemption provisions. All states also establish vaccination requirements for children as a condition for child care attendance."

That's fine. And none of these vaccines are for coronaviruses.
Why?
Because THERE ARE NO VACCINES FOR CORONAVIRUSES.
THERE ARE NO VACCINES FOR CORONAVIRUSES.
THERE ARE NO VACCINES FOR CORONAVIRUSES.
And there probably never will be.
For coronaviruses there are periodic mitigative shots, based on best guesses, that mitigate the risk of severe illness, hospitalization and death for a relatively short period of time, three months, six months, twelve months tops for something which really isn't a huge threat, statistically (we all love statistics and especially statisticians, don't we).
They do nothing else.
Then the next best guess.
I voluntarily even take one sometimes, periodically. No problem. They are a helpful tool among a big box full of helpful tools, each one a right tool for a particular job.
The problem is a forced blanket mandate for an imperfect best guess that does a half-ass job, except to definitely line the pockets of a select few.
This so-called mRNA technology could prove to be the Betamax of mitigative shots.
A larger and better set of effective tools already exists, and a better set of mitigative shots could come along. We would be grateful to have them in our toolboxes to choose from.
Therefore, leave plenty of room for diversity, alternatives, and competition.
A much bigger risk is putting all eggs into a monopolistic basket.
It makes no sense, scientifically and statistically.
Keep pretending that you don’t get that the mandates are the issue here.
Vaccine mandates in America have existed for 100's of years.
1777: George Washington mandates smallpox vaccines for all his soldiers
1809: Massachusetts institutes the first vaccine mandate. This law authorized local boards of health to require smallpox vaccinations for those over 21.
1855: Massachusetts institutes the first school vaccine mandates. Today, all 50 states have vaccine mandates for children attending school
1867: The Urbana, Ohio, board of health passes a law requiring citizens to get available vaccines in the event of future epidemics
And there were similar mandates and events in 1905, 1922, 1944, 1977, 1987, and 2015.
So sorry, What a travesty…
What state are you planning to relocate in?
Florida!!!
Not sure exactly where yet, but that's my plan.
