Maybe we need some entrepreneurs to start manufacturing stuff here in the US again so we are not so dependent on other countries for our goods.

You would think that this whole shortage thing, whether it be active ingredients in medicine, computer chips, resins, etc., etc., would be a giant wake up call that the whole "Global economy" thing doesn't work and we need to bring manufacturing back onto our own shore. Find out why companies left, whether it be high corporate taxes, regulations, or whatever and correct those things to bring companies back home. But no, the politicians will do none of that. Actually they'll do just the opposite; raise the tax rates, reverse the regulations President Trump loosened, and drive wages higher to meet with the ever rising inflation.
It was real hardship when I couldn't find Lunchables at the supermarket. Now I know what food rationing was like during WW2.
I had to wait a week for molasses. I just gave up and crawled in a hole with my guns. I KNOW they are coming for my bread flour.

Or maybe some strong young people could apply for jobs at the docks to unload all the cargo.
I listened to the officials say not to hoard last year as it would make things different. I then spent a couple months gathering up leaves to wipe my ass because there was no toilet paper to be found. No thanks. Not falling for that again, especially with so many business leaders telling us flat out just how much worse it's about to be this time around.
Bought a house in the country with acreage last year, there's a spring fed creek which runs through it year round for emergency water, getting solar installed soon (provided the parts are available when I place the order), currently doing the planning to maximize the production of our vegetable garden and we've got chickens already. Loaded up on "emergency" food last year and we're picking up a side of beef from the processor in a couple of weeks.
