I'd even argue this is a desecration, too; given it's politicizing the flag to support the police (thin blue line). I pledged allegiance to the flag and "the republic for which it stands", not to law enforcement.

I wonder if any of the Jan 6 rioters who were arrested are being charged with desecrating the flag (in addition to other charges)
