Even if Trump had done that, it would not have changed a single thing. You don't seem to understand that there are people who refuse to buy into government propaganda disguised as "science." I wouldn't change my belief that wearing a cloth bandana over and over again prevents ANYONE from getting the virus, no matter who makes that idiotic claim.

I don't know how long it will take for the infection here slows down. I plan to wear a mask until it's safe to go around without one, but right now, I have no idea of when it will be safe.
Hopefully, not long, but I'm prepared to wear the damn mask for as long as it takes.

This is insanity, but yeah I get it. Many despise knowledge, facts, and reason and instead cling to myth, intuition, and ignorance to guide them. Sorry. That’s not freedom. You can deny the existence of gravity all you want - you’re still subject to its properties. You are not immune to a virus just because you don’t believe in it.
It's already been established THERE IS NO PERMANENT IMMUNITY TO THE VIRUS.
No one yet knows how long immunity will last, so it has not been established, no matter how loud you shout.

It will take time for enough people to be vaccinated to slow down circulation of the virus, and if the anti-vaxers have their way it may not happen at all.
I will wear a mask and social distance until a proven effective vaccine is developed and made available. I do it for others more than I do it for myself. I would feel awful if I gave it to one of my love ones because I refused to be responsible.

The poster is quite accurate. Bandanas will not stop, eradicate, nor magically prevent a virus from causing havoc on your person.
