Well, it's not quite as cut and dry as you're saying. Keep in mind one political party, yours, has been consistently undermining public confidence in a vaccine in order to further its political agenda.
Nope. Weve said we will listen to the scientists. Your party is the one who has been demanding we get one out before the election for political reasons. What nonsense.

Meanwhile in reality....
seriously do you believe this nonsense? Bwahahahahha.
I don't believe the masks protect me. I will wear a mask as long as the law requires and/or as long as masks seem necessary to reassure the frightened to come out of hiding.
Hopefully Darwin might do us the favor of taking care of folks who have "had enough "
That means they are tired of living anyway, right?
Speaking personally, the answers are, respectively, "Perhaps", and "essentially yes".

I can't speak for the person to whom you responded, but pretense is operative once we pass from scientific observation to the making of ethical or policy decisions.
It's simple physics, that kinetic energy increases with the square of the velocity magnitude, and that the same reaction-time of a person traveling in a vehicle, means more distance traveled, linearly with increasing speed. That's the science. No pretense there. But to then assert, that for scientific reasons we ought to lower highway speed limits, in the interest of safety - now that is utter pretense.
You do know that wearing a mask does not protect you from getting this or any other virus. Right?
Actually, it depends on the mask. Most masks though are primarily for source control. They primarily protect those who encounter the mask wearer. Those who don't wear masks when the virus is prevalent are basically selfish jackasses.

I will wear one only to keep from causing the good merchants in my town to be fined when some stupid SJW moron calls the so-called governor's tattle line set up to make law enforcers out of merchants.
