Do you honestly think the US military (or parts of it)would not be part of this revolution?
some would be on the side of the goverment and some would be on the side of the patriots.
you have to remember that soldiers say the oath to protect and defend the Constitution, and they take their oaths alot more seriously than politicians do.
they mean it.
Do you honestly think that you Joe citizen can match the power of the US military. Okay bring your 45 or 12 guage. We have M1A1's, F-18's .50 cals. In this day you would not stand a chance, and nor should you this country is to great for people to throw it away for dumb reasons.
Why would our military fight its own people? Who is "we"?
Who does "we" work for? Your attitude is the problem, not because you have it, but because its shared by many more influential people in the Govt.
I dont serve my govt, my govt serves me. If you work for the govt, you work for the people, not the Whitehouse, Pentagon or Capital hill. Who do you think is going to pay your bills if you blow us up.
Yea, sure the military will just blindly obey some dumb ass officer and do as ordered and fire on their own people, especially when for the most part many would agree. I sure as heck wouldn't if I truly beleived the gov was of no use and not abiding by the constitution.
As a note, those Iraqis and Afgans seem to be doing a pretty good job with small arms against our military.
seriously. When our currency fails? When the bureaucrats socialize healthcare? When the supreme court rules the DC gun ban constitutional? When the government defaults on social security and medicare benefits? How much longer will we take violations of state's rights, private property rights, privacy rights, and our nation's sovereignty?
The founding fathers were up in arms over a small tax on imported tea. Where's the civil disobedience at? Where are the protests? Where's our Boston Tea Party? Is America too apathetic and/or spineless to make a stand? Will we submit to fascism and totalitarianism of the federal bureaucracy? Or will we rally as our founding fathers did in an effort for our God given liberty? Who will make a stand with me?
I would be careful even suggesting anything armed. This is the Internet but you can be reported to the FBI for what you write in a forum. So, partner I will not participate in your discussion & caution you to be thoughtful in what you write.
We have a civilized society and a government that responds very easy to change without the use of any force or illegal action.
But voters, and people in general, need to get more educated on the issues, as it stands, once again issues are not making the headlines.
Voters have the ultimate power and to this date the vote has counted.
So why bother with all the hoo-rah of violence when all someone has to do is rally voters and get them to understand that yes, economic issues are much more important than gay marriage, foreign policy is much more important than if the eprson smoked dope in college 3o years ago.

why? has free speech that the fascist liberals spout about so much been thrown out the window now too.
talking about secession and armed revolution is alot different than actually acting upon it.
Today's army is a professional force, regulars, that would have no problem killing rebellious American citizens; note how the Regular Army was used to break strikes and punish rebellious Indians. Indeed, one can argue that the main function of a professional army is to do jobs that would be more difficult for political reasons with a conscript army---keeping people at home in line and fighting unpopular nasty little wars abroad.
Remember that the Tsar fell when his huge conscript army turned away from fighting the Germans and turned against him. Conscript army, not professional.
We could throw gasoline in the water to protest high gas prices but then the environmentalists would bleat. We could have a big protest but we're probably not allowed to drive to it or walk on the grass and disturb the ants.
Part of the big game plan by the people who really rule the planet is to get you in such a tizzy over every crisis they manufacture as to get you confused and demoralized and beat down into a state of apathy so you are willing to let the socialist welfare state offer you some relief just so we, the people, can get off the stressful emotional rollercoaster and let "them" take care of us. I don't see any difference between Democrats and Republicans, anymore. The end game is the same.
