hey..I'm just the messenger here.

I am retired. I worked my butt off and saved to get where I am today.
And here comes Bernie saying it's not fair that others didn't save so he's going to take some of my money and give it to them.

BULL....

I have dual citizenship and a Plan B.

They also have a regressive tax system instead of the progressive tax system we have here in the U.S. Let's tax regressively like Scandinavia.

The left always leave out the tax part.
30-60% income taxes and they can have their Utopia.

Only they don't want to pay the taxes. They want someone else to pay.

That is Latin American policy.

Yes, and the greatest tax burden is borne by the middle class and poor in Scandinavia and Europe. So why won't liberals agree to do that here in the U.S.?

And such is the mindset of the conservative, stuck in the past with no forward vision. The same guys that protested the abolition of American sweatshops in the early part of the 20th century. The same folks that were against Medicare.

I envision a society that is so modern and advanced that most folks have everything they need and more. This is already happening.

And this can be done with the fruits of real capitalism.

So why aren't Americans embracing higher taxes for that Utopia ?

Vermont dropped their universal health insurance plan because it would have meant 2 new taxes, a state tax and a FICA like tax of 18%..11% on employer and 7% on employee in addition to the Federal FICA.

They tossed it because of taxes. They want it but they don't want to pay for it.

really??? you think so????

too bad you are wrong

Scandinavia= denmark, norway and sweden

denmark debt to gdp percentage--- 180% ...... 80% more than the usa
norway debt to gdp percentage----141%..........41% more than the usa
sweden debt to gdp percentage----187%........87% more than the usa

denmark and norway have high costs of living, ultra high taxes..high crime, and a poverty problem too

denmark is one of the wealthiest countries and has a high poverty rate, especially among imigrents:
17.3% of all Danish children, almost 200,000 in total, were touched by poverty .....that's higher than the USA

sweden has an aging problem too
the median age in Sweden 41.7
USA 36.9

btw..Denmark, Norway, Sweden, don't have minimum wages at all.

Well, liberals want more here, so why are they unwilling to PAY for it? Tax regressively like Scandinavian and European countries do.
