The US Government should not just "drop them off," but rather demand that the respective governments set up a liaison point to recover their citizens, and take care of these children. THEIR children.

Plus, these Central American "refugees" travel THROUGH Mexico to get to the US. If "refugee" was the real reason they flee their homes, they could/would just stay in Mexico.... which is closer to their home and not a bad place at all except in some parts. Lest we forget the richest man in the world lives in Mexico, and they have lower unemployment than the United States.

At this point, it's ridiculous. It's like saying people from Detroit/Camden, etc. should get refugee status in Canada, rather than travelling to safer areas within the United States if they are threatened or faced with violence.

We cannot and should not be burdened with taking in the world's poor and destitute any longer. We now have to worry about the social welfare system. Liberals with any intellectual honesty will know you cannot fight a war on poverty and will never see improvement if you keep adding countless poor and destitute from OTHER places into our already large population of poor folks.

You want to cry about poverty? Wage and job losses? Strained healthcare and underfunded schools? Then don't advocate to exponentially increase the numbers of refugees for us to "take care of." We should move to Canada's merit based system for immigration. Capture the best and the brightest, so we can actually, you know, PAY for increased social services.

There is some truth in this statement.

Obama really hurt the people in Honduras by his meddling.

Still.....I say seal the border.

Because you lead by example. Coming into our country illegally is an illegal act. Taking the illegals to Mexico, who are not Mexican citizens, against the wishes of the Mexican government is also an illegal act.
Now if you can expose a plot by the Mexican government that they are purposely transporting them here then you'd have something.

For the same reason the school lunch program is now the school breakfast lunch and dinner program
Lots of people here taking on jobs that is not theirs & robbing the parents of their basic roles
Then we wonder why such low self esteem and lack of gratitude

Maybe if the people in these countries grew a pair, they could take their countries back and make a life for themselves. Then there would be no reason to immigrate to another country.

When you (the illegal immigrant) think you're entitled to live in the United States because the US "stole" the land from you anyway, there isn't much motivation to act at "home."

Their derision and activism is focused on the United States, and how they are treated in the United States, and not in their home country. Maybe because in the US our political system actually bends and functions?

But, "illegal immigrant activists" that work in the United States for changes for "their people" HERE, and make no effort or protest to improve the lives of people in their home countries are pretty much the definition of cowards in my book.

Mexico, Guatemala fast-track delivery of illegals to U.S.

Though largely unreported in the U.S. mainstream media, the two nations agreed on July 7, in a presidential-level meeting in Mexico, to make it legal and safe for Central American immigrants, including unaccompanied minors, to cross Mexico’s border with Guatemala and transit Mexico en route to the U.S. border at the Rio Grande.

Border patrol report...illegal minors up 106% in FY14 but illegal families up 493% in FY14.
16K illegal minors from Honduras but 30K illegal families from Honduras.

And this is just the southwest border section.
