He's a writer/director, not a producer. Just saying.

The genius of the film is how it covers a very serious time in our history with comedy without trivializing it.

Woody Allen does what I wish other filmmakers would (if they could) do...get a great ensemble cast and tell a great human interest story with incredible depth. No stupid ass explosions, CGI crap, or any of that special effects nonsense. Just get a cast, a story, a great city setting, and watch characters weave in and out of each other's lives while telling their own stories.

He's the best...the very best. When he's gone, people will wish that they hadn't taken his genius for granted.
this for the most part is true. i am not sure that woody is the best, but he did make many movies that were top quality movies. i like special effects, when they enhance the experience, but when they are gratuitous, they ruin things.

That's because Sinatra's friends would've amputated their tongue without anesthesia. lol

LOL...yep, great scene by a legendary actor. I think he died a few years after playing Hecky.

As for special effects,If its a movie like Inception, i get it. Or science fiction. But crap like Fast and the Furious just costs me precious IQ points and time that i can't get back.

Uh yeah...Frances was definitely not one to cross or talk slick to.

Besides, the young Mia Farrow was something to behold.
