Nah, that's just you.

Honey Boo Boo didn't bother me a bit.

BET has gone to the dogs. For something that is supposed to represent black entertainment in a positive light, taking out anything of substance is a bad idea. The only thing worth watching anymore is the award shows & even then I regret watching because it increases their ratings.

BET is still on television? I'd be interested to know who actually watches it. Anyone?

No one. Which is exactly why it's still on TV...because it doesn't have viewers.

BET just does what their competition does. I don't know why they should be expected to do anything different from VH1 OR MTV...or any of the other music channels that have popped up.

well if there is lots of it, and everybody likes it (except you) and ratings are good, is it a stereotype?

The Uncle Ruckus Reality Show was really their last great hope.

Black Evil Television could really get some ratings with that.

I look at it like this. I don't watch VH1 or MTV(I don't have cable). I haven't watched BET in years. They are doing what MTV and VH1 are doing, indeed. One reason I don't watch either of them.

In all honesty, BET has been dead to me for years. So this is almost a non-story to me...

People put on air what sells, look at every radio and tv channel, if it does not sell it does not last and if it does they duplicate it over and over until it stops selling then it is on to the next thing. Maybe some should remember that BET is a Business and the point of a Business is to make money. Now if they want to use some of their own money to change stereotypes and the plight of poor blacks then they should get started right away.
