He's changed his mind...oops...he's "evolved" to use his terminology with respect to a lot of things.

Simple.

People largely don't care if they get spied on and have their privacy violated, so long as it's not in your face. Heck, they don't particularly care even if it is very in your face and a gross violation of your personal space.

The political upsides (potentially preventing an attack) far outweigh the potential downsides (a few people sending angry letters demanding change).

He most likely found out that the Pentagon runs the show around there. Or he already knew it, but couldn't say it out loud if he wanted to get elected.

If the president is not really in charge, who do you think is?

Obama is really a Communist -- he just could not admit it right away. So are Clintons and the same thing goes for them, they couldn't admit it straight out.

Obama is on the order of Stalin and Lenin. He wants to shut down all dissent. It's not really just Obama though, it's the whole democrat party of today. Pelosi cannot tolerate anyone who doesn't agree with her or who doesn't walk lockstep with the Party.

Well he's in charge for some things I'd say. But the military/CIA basically gets to do what they want.

I'm not defending Obama on this, but it isn't as if he had the master plan for this.

Default Why did Obama Change his Mind About Illegal Wire Taps?

He was told of a cult of 250 million Americans plotting to overthrow him.
