Really? Do you think Obama got into office, any office, on his "own"? The media has made this guy, covered his dirty past, and continues to cover for him now. They kiss his feet and he knows it and treats them like dirt and they love it.
The problem with the GOP is they have not really challenged this guy. They need to be just a nasty as he is and lie just as much as he does on a daily basis.
He never changed his mind and just lied to say he would not do it. He loves to use the power of government to seek and out destroy anyone that opposes him. NSA spying on a massive scale is his dream come true.
In the videos from the OP, Obama is referencing warrantless searches. The current searches were done after obtaining warrants and approval from the Judicial branch. That is different from the Bush administration which claimed they didn't need to obtain warrants and didn't need to obtain Judicial approval.
