If anyone in the US government understand the risk in Benghazi it was Ambassador Stevens. i am quite sure he cared about who got buried. He was clearly personally involved.
Why are you people putting down the dead ambassador?
It was Stevens who was begging for more security, warning the State Dept about his grave concerns over imminent future attacks. Chris was a brave and dedicated man, who was ignored and abandoned by the Obama admin, and he paid for their incompetence and indifference with his life.
Dear William, this administration has a history of leaving survivors behind. You do know about the Pakistani doctor who helped Obama find Osama Bin Laden and has been thrown in prison and is tortured regularly. You see dear William, the doctor (who helped Obama) was left behind.
Dear William, you do know about the Fort Hood shootings right. As Maj. Nidal Hasan began his shooting spree he yelled Allahu Akbar! Oh that's right, according to the Obama administration it was work place violence. The survivors even though on American soil they were left behind.

Not according to the 700 spec ops people that signed a letter to the President. Not according to a few SEALS that have talked to news reporters and NOT according to several Generals (who since retired don't have to worry about being fired or demoted or more likely blamed).

Absolutely...... We have aircraft carriers in the med and in the gulf and marines in all over the middle east and in Libya and Egypt and we just couldn't get anyone there in 12 hours... Yeah Right.

IF Obama can't defend and protect our ambassadors, then he has no business as commander and chief, but of course i knew that 4 years ago, when the little beggar first took office.

The forces would have had to respond within 20 minutes to save Stevens and Smith. Doherty was part of a rescue team.
Any President who is claiming that they can prevent the deaths of all our ambassadors, particularly those who are serving dangerous areas is not being upfront with the risks.

Sorry pal, but waiting for 12 freaking hours before finally deciding to start evacuating the dead and wounded is not a plan.
They completed the evacuation within 12 hours. My understanding they didn't have enough transport capability to remove everyone at once, so they had to leave in two groups. Clearly they made the decision to leave well before they finished the evacuation.

That is probably exactly what our State Department and Executive branch did. Every twenty minutes, for eight hours, they told themselves, "It's a good thing we didn't bother, because we couldn't have respond in time."
4:30 PM "We can't get help there in 20 min, so lets not do anything"
4:50 PM "It's a good thing we didn't bother, because we couldn't have respond in time anyway."
5:10 PM "It's a good thing we didn't bother, because we couldn't have respond in time anyway."
5:30 PM "It's a good thing we didn't bother, because we couldn't have respond in time anyway."
