A lot of people on this board ragged on fast food joints for doing this, but the movement has gone way beyond fast food. And most of these actions will never hit the news. Meanwhile, millions of American workers are screwed by ObamaCare and most don't even know it.
Pennsylvania's Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) is slashing the hours of 400 adjunct instructors, support staff, and part-time instructors to dodge paying for Obamacare.
Who said Obama and friends weren't devious? If you won't accept our "shared" employment plan we'll force it on you. I wouldn't be surprised if full time moves to 25 hours and then these folks are reduced to 20 hours and they then have to "hire" more adjuncts which will lower the UE rate.

One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine. It’s very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project. Most people are a little reluctant to oppose anything that suggests medical care for people who possibly can’t afford it.
Now, the American people, if you put it to them about socialized medicine and gave them a chance to choose, would unhesitatingly vote against it. We had an example of this. Under the Truman administration it was proposed that we have a compulsory health insurance program for all people in the United States, and, of course, the American people unhesitatingly rejected this.
So, with the American people on record as not wanting socialized medicine, Congressman Ferrand introduced the Ferrand Bill. This was the idea that all people of social security age should be brought under a program of compulsory health insurance. Now this would not only be our senior citizens, this would be the dependents and those who are disabled, this would be young people if they are dependents of someone eligible for Social Security.
Now, Congressman Ferrand brought the program out on that idea of just for that group of people. But Congressman Ferrand was subscribing to this foot in the door philosophy, because he said “if we can only break through and get our foot inside the door, then we can expand the program after that.”
Mr. Dziak said he understands that the college does not have the $6 million to cover the cost of the health insurance. "This is one of those times when the best of intentions [of the federal health care legislation] do not always end up with the best of results," said Mr. Dziak, a biology professor.
Bob, your denial about the consequences of Obamacare really shows your limited knowledge of possible cause/effect of major legislation.
A law that places limits on hours worked before a business is forced to spend extra money is bound to have an effect especially in such an anemic economy.
You are only looking at the positives of the law while completely ignoring the problems associated with it.

I'll leave you to talk amongst yourselves, perhaps you can see your way to concluding you hate everything Obama?
Some common sense needs to come into play and they need to move it up to the same 40 hour standard that requires overtime for the good of the little guy that Democrats pretend to give a damn about.
FYI...we had a mandatory meeting, hours will be cut, everyone to 36 or less with higher patient load.
We are getting what I did not vote for....at least I can complain.
