These days, we don't need the EPA. We as Americans are smart enough to regulate ourselves and our industries. Big factories don't want to be publicized as gross polluters. They know that there are to many people now that can hurt their business if they fail to maintain industry standards. For the lefties, its a false sense of environment control. Wasted money.
I wouldnt go so far as to say we dont need the EPA, but clearly we need them with limits. Corporations that export products for example, arent affected by publicity.

Yeah, I can change that a bit, we can still have them, but they should be very very small and more of an overseer. That's how most of the federal government should actually be.

You mean like they voluntarily cleaned up their messes before the EPA?
What part of human nature has changed since then? What evidence to you have to back up such an assertion?

We know more now then we could have ever imagined back in the days. The people did not have the resources like we do today. Overall, most people these days have some concern over pollution. We have the power to motivate business and their practices. As a group, we can bring enough public outcry to get things done. And that's cheap compared to running the frigging EPA.
Lots of cities imposed polution limits before the EPA, what makes you think it would go away?
Which cities and when?

How would you like me to tell you, should I rank polution by particals per pound?
Avoiding the questions with a smart remark?
Come on. You can do better than that! A lot of people have this half-baked, half-informed idea that the EPA is just bad by any definition, but when confronted with coming up with specifics? Well...they just sort of fade away.
Not you, though...right? YOU know what particular things you'd like the EPA to not regulate or specific opinions about how their power should be limited. Right?

If humans exhale pollution, then what are you doing to stop it? What do you suggest, we kill everyone?
