Federal appeals court rules against ACORN | Washington Examiner (http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/blogs/beltway-confidential/federal-appeals-court-rules-against-acorn-100639359.html#ixzz0wVw6dG3e - broken link)
The article is hard to read. Today's journalist almost write short hand expecting the readers to understand there point while delivering minimal information.
The article doesn’t explain anything!
In March, U.S. District Judge Nina Gershon in New York ruled that Congress had no authority to deny funding to to the scandal-ridden ACORN organization. It was a bizarre decision, with the judge essentially saying that congress had no right to “punish” ACORN without a trial. The problem here is that if that were the case every group that congress arbitrarily denies money too would suddenly have grounds for a lawsuit.
