Yep, the kneejerks abound in this one.

They are not the same at all.

Castle Doctrine, you are defending yourself from someone illegally breaking into your house.

Stand your Ground? You feel "threatened" no matter where you are.

They are entirely different.

Wrong...

Also castle doctrine can extend to your car or person in some states...

No it's just your lack of understand relative to L'esprit des lois.

Read some Montesquieu.

No payment necessary.

No, not wrong.

It can extend to your car or your place of employment.

Stand your ground is where it applies to your person.

If someone is trying to break into your home, or drag your out of your car, or attack you at your place of employment - I support deadly force.

If you simply feel "threatened" - no, I do not support it.

Take your own advice. See my second sentence. Just clarifying being that you always seem to have an agenda in your rants.

I will make sure to never ask you a simple question again being that you are obviously a tightly wound individual who can't bear having to answer them.

I understand the spirit of the law.

You do not seem to understand my point.

You do not have to agree with my opinion - I find the 2 laws to be different based on the threat presented for each.

Yes. Why should a criminal record be used to take away your right to possess a gun?

And it can also extend to your front yard for an itchy trigger finger yahoo, even if you were safe in your home dialing 911 of a burglary in progress and ignoring the call 10 times to not go outside but did anyway shooting 2 burglars dead as a result. Joe Horn is a hero to many but I'm willing to bet he regrets privately what he did.
