Hey, at least the Obama Admin has a plausible scapegoat in the GOP controlled House to cry to the public about now for the second half of his first term. Can you imagine how embarrassing this whole debt ceiling debacle would have been if the Democrats still controlled all 3 branches, yet still somehow managed to give the right wing everything it kicked and screamed for? In that regard, I'm a little sorry the Dems lost the house, because that would have been the most hilarious and depressing episode to date in proving just how rigged the game is. (Darn)

Okay, I think it's time to level the place with the clearest of perspectives...the harshest and uglieset of truths:

Agreed.

But other choice do "true" liberals have? If we support Obama we're screwed, if we support the uber right candidates we're screwed, nand if we don't vote at all we're screwed because then that just makes it easier for an uber-right candidate to win (see 2010).

He is not a Caesar, so he can only be a leader as much as congress and the people allow...

I'm not saying he would be a great leader in a government that actually worked. But I am saying he has not been granted the opportunity to lead. He can't even get an appointment to address congress for cripes sake.

If we went back to 1980. why do they have so many extremists in the last few years..Reagan hardly ever talked about religion, at least.
