Yes, the program is the nation's largest food assistance and nutrition program. And yes, some farmers support it. Who cares? This has NOTHING to do with Social Security. Just stop with the idiocy.
YOU stop with the personal attacks. I'm getting a little tired of them. YOU are the one who asked who supports food stamps. I gave you documented evidence that the food stamp program was created in part to help farmers, and that farmers support them. Just because you don't like facts that doesn't give you the right to say my posts are idiocy. SEE BELOW:

It's true that if there were more good paying jobs then the majority of the people would rather work. It's also true that some people will never be weaned since they really don't have anything to offer no matter what the economy or job situation is like. This is why it's so critical to limit government programs that "help" since they can never be abolished and only end up hurting everyone in the long run. We can't wipe out poverty because some people just can't cut it no matter what you do for them. It's not a good idea to funnel more and more money into this on particular area, especially when we don't have the money to begin with.
