Neo Progs are incessantly whining about how evil water boarding is, yet they are now rejoicing that Bin Laden took two between the eyes. Help me understand the tortured logic so I don't assume hypocrisy.

Defeating an enemy is supported by practically everyone. It's not exactly the death of Osama, it's the defeat of him that is why people of all ideologies are celebrating. Waterboarding is still wrong and always will be just as it will always be wrong to kill someone even if they are the worst person alive at the time. The right celebrates BOTH actions by the way, so they certainly can't claim the higher moral ground.

You are obsessed. Do you really think OBL would allow himself to be taken alive? I'm sure the US would have LOVED to take him to trial before his execution. Unfortunately, OBL refused to surrender. What should have happened then...should the US have left and tried again the next day hoping to catch OBL in a better mood?

With what? Neo Progs always go on and on about how wrong water boarding is and that it is torture, a violation of the Geneva Convention, blah, blah, blah, but now they are cheering the killing of this sick puppy. So, which is it; water boarding a terrorist is torture, but murdeingr a terrorist is okay?

I do fully support both the water boarding and killing of terrorists.

When your next door neighbor with a family of three is accused of terrorism, will you still feel that way? Who defines terrorists and terrorism, you or the government? What if you disagree?

Let me understand, you support the horrible treatment of other people you will never meet who are accused of committing crimes that don't impact you personally? So, if they dare act in what could actually be self-defense, you still want them tortured and killed because they're terrorists? Where does this stop, when everyone has exhausted their blood lust?

Basically, what you support is exactly what a terrorist would support. How is that productive? How does that benefit America?

My word...there really is no argument to be had here. Let it go!

You mean the humane-ity.

It's why we don't torture cows to death. I eat steak, though. I don't see a conflict with that. Are you a vegetarian? If not, then do you ask this same question every time you eat a chicken?

You did get me to look up the phrase "neo prog", though.

and if the only way to say your next door neighbor with a family of three is by water-boarding a terrorist for information (torture works better then all other methods when administrated properly (this is not a moral statement but one about getting desired information) ask anyone who was under the gestapo, KGB, NKVD ext.) would you still oppose is and let that family get killed?

I totally agree with your first sentence.

These threads speak volumes about some posters.....and some political viewpoints.

On the ONE day ALL Americans can put aside their differences etc....and see a common goal achieved.........

Some people INSIST on looking for divisiveness and perpetuating arguments.....and dischord.

All because of and to further their political agenda.......above the general "good" of our country.......and we all know what political leanings these types of people possess.

Keep this in mind next time you vote!
