Why do Progressives buy into social experiments that are unproven? (generation, Reagan)

Why? I mean, like the Euro, NWO, flipping a switch to go green and dump fossils in one fell swoop, Wealth redistribution, promote diversity to no end, want illegals to become legal, tear apart the HC system, etc.
These are ALL social EXPERIMENTS! Experiments that they have no idea how they will turn out. Experiments that HAVE led to the starvation and deaths of millions of people! Why must they experiment on the human race like they do? I think they are dangerous as all hell for doing that. Just about ALL Communist regimes have tried these experiments in one way or another, they ALL end in misery for the people.
Because they're 'feelers,' not 'thinkers.' Those programs 'sound' good. It doesn't matter that they're not fiscally viable, and in many cases make matters worse (example: generational welfare dependency).

Yup, the biggest progressive social experiment of all, The Constitution, has been a failure and the tea brained conservatives want to rip it apart to support a corporate led dictatorship on the country.. Progress is a liberal idea, stagnant is a conservative's (wet)dream.

The Constitution was an idea that would NOT bring suffering to millions of people. It made their lives better. Experimenting on the human race is dangerous and evil. Progressives do it with total disregard of ANY consequences.
Following your logic, there would be no progress on anything, ever. How stupid.
Great idea, just test your experiment on the populace with total disregard of the consequences. Progressives would never make good IT people with that logic. Their networks and applications would be down most of the time.
