downtown is finally expanding
Quote:
Schreiber and his Shadyside-based Schreiber Real Estate will construct a 59-unit apartment building at 1100 Smallman Street, right where the Strip meets Downtown. The structure, which will stand six stories, will encompass a building Schreiber currently owns at the address in addition to an entirely new structure.

“It’s really within the central business district, so it’s well-suited to people who work there,” Schreiber says.
Space at 1100 Smallman will be 59 new rental units

Blue Line Grille, a 5,800-square-foot restaurant and bar, is set to open on Fifth Avenue across from Consol next month. It is part of a $4 million plus, four-level complex that will include 10 loft apartments and Uptown, a sleek rooftop lounge overlooking the arena.

Depends on where they live. The Roosevelt Arms building, the May Building and Wood St. Commons are still catering to the folks who are down on their luck.

Killer news. Once finished that will be an extremely high-impact residential project, visually, as you're walking through downtown.
