This thread needs to chill. It is just about crime and trends in Pittsburgh. No reason to be emotional about it. Just report what is going on and if there is danger. The SS is in a bad situation and I am glad to know that. Obviously there are areas to stay away from in our city and surroundings, but the SS used to be fun. Now you can't walk down the street holding a pizza in a box without getting shot with intent to murder. It is good to know this. Also, some of the violence there happens on a Sunday afternoon!. Who would ever think that it would be an issue at that time of day and on that day? Good to know.

Forget about blame or whatever. Just focus on how it is effecting us and where people can go to be safe. That is the important part. What to look out for if you have to be in the city.

I also think we should focus on kids and what is going on. The amount of violence in some schools is off the charts. Look at Woodland Hills. OMG!

What was are seeing is a reaction to the Democratic Party's idea of running on racial divide. Look at what that did! This was never an issue like this before. Ask yourself why? Yep. The democrats did whatever it took to regain power. It worked for them. What about regular people? Hmm, not so much. Anger and violence. Why? Ah, it is plain as day.

No worries. Social workers are going to fix it and de-escalate these folks and situations.

I know you are kidding, but we don't need another lost generation. We are in a declining country, which is okay to a point as we are only 330 million or thereabouts and comparing ourselves to countries at over a billion. On the other hand small countries like the UK, France and Germany do very well with approx. 1/3 of our size! They don't have our problems to a degree, but France let in too many crazy people and Germany also did and they will pay for that mistake for centuries. The UK got smart and separated. Well done for them. An amazingly smart move as you would expect from one of the greatest countries on earth. Remember they were smart enough to control 1/3 of the globe and they were just a small island or so. WOW!!!

I wish we could do better, but this media machine is really our demise. I wish people could see it, but I think it is too late. Life can still be very good for all however. We will just have less, but that isn't what life is all about. We can do without a lot of the crap we have. Just learn to love and not hate. Not easy to do with the leftist run media machine, but we might figure it out as a society at some point. We just have to see what they have done to us and make them pay with voting differently. We all have the same goals really. We are just blinded by hate due to the desire to create this hate by the left and their quest to win the election. They won, but wow what a cost to us all. Divide and conquer is as real as it gets.

Just need to defund the police and the rest will take care of itself. Working out in Portland.

Lol. Folks are already crying about crime in areas where they wanted the police defunded. A be careful what you wish for scenario coming to fruition because folks can’t see 5 minutes in front of themselves. Thinking social workers are going to make up for less officers is hilarious.

Yep, folks wanted less policing and they got it. However, it’s not working out well and they’re reaping what they’ve sown.

People with impulse control issues shouldn't be determining public policy. That would include anyone participating in street crime, as well as gang members.

So how many times did you call police because people were shooting off firecrackers near your house this summer?
