How many counties in PA dont have a health department? Leaving it up to the counties in some cases leaves it up to some random who was elected who is not an expert.
Bingo.

It specifically says “Kentucky sees highest spike in coronavirus cases after protests against lockdown”. If that’s not the point, what is?

Cases went up despite the protests. It turns out the virus doesn't care.

There would be some irony if a couple people had the virus at these protests today and then gave it others who were there who in turn gave it to other people, leading to a case spike which would cause the stay-at-home rules to be extended further....

And some embellish greatly in order to fit a narrative, but please do link where anyone has ever said the virus cares.

There are 67 counties in PA. I believe the number with local health departments are 6: Allegheny, Erie, Philadelphia.. and the others are suburban Philly I believe (Chester, Bucks, and maybe Montgomery?).

Here's a map of the cases in the state broken down by County: https://www.health.pa.gov/topics/dis...ronavirus.aspx
Somerset County has 19 positive cases. Elk County has 2. Crawford County has 16. There's no reason an elected official can't make the decision to re-open those counties.

Gov Wolf is a random elected person - and his expert, Dr Levine, is an eating disorders expert.. not an infectious disease or public health expert.

So as of yesterday all we PA residents must wear "masks" out in public per Governor's orders. Supermarkets can deny us admission to their stores. I bought a bandannas and attached rubber bands to the edges, although I DO HAVE surgical mask. NOT wearing that. Suck an egg.

Need Mass Testing? Tomorrow is "Senior" Testing Day in NE PA. Think I am going to drive there waiting in my car (alone) to get a test? Pointless on many fronts. Tests are not accurate, and could test Negative, and next week test Positive. I will do this the same time I run out in my PJ's at 6:30 AM for my SPECIAL Senior Shopping Hours.

Maybe in my old age, I am done with my protesting years, BUT if I was younger like many of these people.............
