Just a curious resident wondering if anyone knew what was being built next to the new Neighborhood Wal-Mart located at Happy Valley Road & 67th Ave.

I had heard that one of the buildings was going to be an Anytime Fitness Gym, and their website is no longer confirming this.

I'm hoping for a gym closer than LA Fitness at 83rd Ave & Union Hills.

A few things...but nothing to get too excited about.

A new haircut place, a Domino's, an insurance place, a new restaurant. Typical strip mall stores.

I've also heard something about a new fitness place going in..would be great as I live .7 miles from there, much better then going to the gym at 83rd and Union that's 6.9 miles away.

Have you guys tried out the new Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market? What do you think?

Personally I normally can't stand Wal-Mart...too too, too many people, parking lot too big, idiot employees...and usually a mom with 5 kids running around, however...this one isn't that bad. It's much smaller, since it's just groceries...there's always plenty of parking since most people are still going to the Fry's across the street, and you can't deny the prices are quite a bit lower. I actually did a comparison for the exact same items (since I had to go to the Chase at Fry's first) and Wal-Mart was $7.50 cheaper on a $35.00 purchase...close to 20% less, not bad.

Also, since I live on the north side of Happy Valley, it's nice not having to deal with the intersection...I can go right in through the truck entrance off of 67th.

We went into that Walmart once and it just seemed so weird to us. There was also weird rainy weather so when we walked out it seemed like we were in some small town or something. I do notice that their parking lot is pretty lean whereas the Fry's lot is full.

I've been trying to figure out what's going in at 39th ave. It's 96% occupied, so I'm impressed.

A Safeway...with it's own gas station.

Also an Ace Hardware, Mini-Skool Early Learning Centers, The UPS Store, Personal Touch Salon and Spa, and a dry cleaner...not sure what else.
