Oh cool. We like Ace and needed a closer home improvement store to us (not terribly crazy about the Lowes). I'm glad to hear about the Safeway's gas station as we shop this Safeway all the time. I figured there'd be a salon and dry cleaners. I hope there's some more useful things for us.

Default update

There are rumors of a gym coming to the intersection of I-17 and Happy Valley

New LA FITNESS in N. Phoenix?

the stretch between the I-17 and 67th Ave on Happy Valley is really developing. I love it because its adding convenience to the neighborhood & our home is still secluded enough with Ludden Mountain off of 51st Ave

Not sure how I would feel if this stuff was cropping up within sight.

Default Maybe a gym will be built there......in 2020!!!!!!!

Let's face it, we live in the middle of nowhere! Check out Walkscore.com and you will see what I mean. The shopping center at the NW corner of 67th and Happy Valley has been empty for over a year now. I wouldn't hold my breath on anything coming in there anytime soon. Plus, what can we expect other than ANOTHER nail salon, maybe a drycleaner, and a chain pizza place. Don't we already have it right across the street and in EVERY other strip mall in the NW valley of Phoenix? Don't expect anything exciting to be built there, or you will just be dissapointed. Personally I would like a gym and a Banana Republic! That will never happen! At least the Walmart grocery store is clean and empty. Just imagine the trashy people that would be hanging around there if it was a Wal-Mart Super Center!

The shopping center has not been empty for over a year...it hasn't been been built for that long, it's maybe been up for 3-4 months. There are places filling in slowly, but you are right, it's pretty much the same stores and the same that you have across the street. There is a nail place going in, a dry cleaner, a hair cut place, a couple restaurants...nothing special.

It's been open for longer than that (at least before summer- like March or so). I shopped there several months ago and decided I didn't like them. Then I tried it again about 2 months ago and found out I love shopping there. IT's practically dead, so no crowds of people. It's great! LOL
