The Collier Cos have walked away from the land at Indian School/Central and the land is going back to the department of the interior and maybe to the tribe. Paul Johnson's son Justin is running for another political office...this time Phoenix city council district four, and he is making a big campaign issue about how awful it would be if the Indians built a great big casino right there on the corner. I like the idea of a casino there. The land will otherwise sit there undeveloped for many years to come. The light rail stops right there, too.

This is racist fear-mongering from Johnson. There has been no discussion by the Interior Department about giving this land to "the tribes" as Johnson's robo-call suggests.
