Yup,

There’s hardly any traffic at 4:AM ruling out road rage.

I did say "often through illegal means." But there's no doubt that there's loopholes in current laws, as well, that make obtaining weapons for nefarious reasons completely legal.

Private sales, for example, are exempt from background checks.

Do Mayors have any authority over Police Commissioner picks? Like in 2023 is there a chance the new Mayor (assuming they're competent) can push for a replacement?

Philippines government official killed during Uber ride to airport.

According to MSN, the 35-year-old government attorney was riding to the airport to fly home when someone in a black car hit the car he was in with gunfire.

Philippine government "imploring" police to find those responsible.

The attorney was with his mom who was also in the car and injured.
It was a page back. Extremely awful story and a horrible image for Philadelphia. And it does appear that the man visiting was innocent and caught in the cross-fire of animals.

The police should catch these animals and send them to the Philippines, they will take care of them.

While not quite 17, the Juneteenth Holiday Weekend tallied 14 killed in Philly. Many more shot and several went into critical condition so, again, some of those will add to the total.

4th of July is another 3-day weekend.

Wait until folks living in a 3rd World County like the Philippines discover Philly's marxist DA and his ''criminal reform'' movement.

The Mayor appoints the police commissioner; with our current Commissioner though, there was a lot of community input from experts like Meek Mill and Malcolm Jenkins. Mill because he has a long and childlike history with the criminal and justice system and Jenkins cuz he went on a ride along or 2 and appointed himself an expert in all things ''policing''...so we get Danielle Outlaw fresh from the then 35/year homicide city of Portland OR...a city with less than 6% black population in a state with less than a 2% black population yet somehow was the center of the BLM movement for summer election season 2020...lol. Outlaw gets around because she has the right ''credentials'' today (and it ain't based on job performance).

This was Kenney's last attempt to wear the ''progressive'' hat as he saw that as his political future, well, to hang his hat on. By February 2020, all the key players of our current progressive dystopia were in place.

New Mayor? Helen Gym or another ''progressive'' who thinks equality is created by not enforcing the law and handing out $$?

Don't joke about her becoming Mayor, lol.
There are some solid candidates in the running though, and also some not so solid candidates, her being one of them. All elections are important, but the 2023 Mayoral race will determine the trajectory of the city.

I don’t know. I just hope people won’t be too critical on the new mayor for not completely fixing Kenney and Co. mess within a year.

Who are some of the solid candidates in the running for next Mayor and what are their policies on fighting crime?

Current Mayor Kenny is offering his prayers to the Laylo family.

Whoever it is I just hope he doesn't look annoyed and confused like the current mayor
