If I was her parent I would be having a plu-perfect hissy fit in front of the Board of Education. I think this is probably illegal not to mention the most stupid thing I've heard of in a long time.
Pity she didn't drop the f-bomb so her fellow graduates could have watched the top of the principal's head blow off from built up pressure and see a live demonstration of the disbursement of gray matter in the troposphere as one final science lesson.

Good grief! If I were the principal, I would've given a short apology to anyone who may have been offended at very most. Why does everything have to be punished beyond all reason? Damn player haters (if that phrase doesn't cost me my degree). They know they could never get straight A's in high school. Why not tear those who can down?
I like how the moron said "Well it's confidential". No surprise. People usually do say that when they've done something stupid, know it, and would just like for everyone else to stay out of it!
The article doesn't say whether it was a public or private school. Either way it's ridiculous. I don't see how a public school could legally withhold a diploma if it was earned. The girl is off to college on an academic scholarship. Good for her.

I know absolutely zilch about this stuff, but couldn't the college admit her anyway? If they're following the story?

I'm assuming they are just withholding the paper document. If it's a public school I sincerely doubt they can keep the actual earned credit and keep her from college.
Is anybody really offended by the word Hell anymore? That is so mild compared to the way most young people (not all) speak to their friends and she was mimicking a popular movie line anyway.
