txt I agree with Hopes. That phone should never go to voicemail. You are trying to get a job right now where you are competing against a lot of other people. The missed phone call could be the difference between you getting the job or not.
You don't pick up the phone, she calls the next number on her list.
I missed the call on Tuesday and she told me to call her today.
I had been at the ER till midnight with my friend who got hurt and then up early early in the AM with TG because he had to go to work.
I went home and literally uncontrollably fell asleep. One second I was awake and next I'm waking up 6 hours later in a pool of sweat and my laptop still on my lap.

txt - I wasn't really looking for an answer as to why you didn't answer the phone. We are just giving you advice. Take it or leave it. But I would suggest in the future turn your ringer up and strap the phone to your ear if that is what it takes in order to not miss a call. It could cost you getting a job.
I'm curious - have you continued to apply for other jobs or have you been waiting to hear back from Best Buy? Do you watch the news and realize what the state of the economy is and the massive amounts of unemployed people?
I hope for your sake that you get a job quickly. But you have to understand what you are up against and be proactive. Do whatever it takes to make yourself stand out from all the others wanting the same job.

What's more important? TG or getting a job? Give him a hug and a kiss and say "goodnight" at 9pm. Tell him you'll see him tomorrow after he gets off work. Go to sleep. In your own bed. Get up at 6am and start your job search.

I was up at 6am when I woke up at his place.
And can you edit your post and put TG instead? I slipped up.
And I was up at 6am so he could get to work early in the AM. Had I been at home in my own bed I wouldn't have been up that early, especially seeing as I was at the ER till 12am and then up till 1:30 because I needed to eat and then fell asleep.
I went from his house to mine at about 7am and then went back to bed once I got home.
I couldn't have told him good night because I was at the ER.
He didn't keep me up because I ate there and fell right to sleep.
I get up way earlier there than I ever would at my own house.

Txt: No matter what we say you come up with explanations and excuses and reasons for why you don't have a job, can't get a job, whatever. Considering the week the world economy has had I don't have a lot of patience with but... but... but from a perfectly healthy, almost 22 year old who can't seem to understand how to listen to advice and take it.
There are people scared to death that they will not be able to feed their kids!! THOSE are the people you are competing with. And, were I the hiring manager, I'd give the job to the person who is answering the phone on the first ring over the person I can't get a hold of. Job Hunting 101.

lol! Yes, she seems to live in a parallel universe or something. Or doesn't watch the news and gets the gravity of what is going on right now.
Even WITH a job we don't feel comfortable.....
