My son wanted to bang pots and pans. I asked him to let the neighbors sleep. I'm trying to locate a celebration downtown for him to attend instead.

Good morning all!

I'm not one to "celebrate" a person's death, regardless of who they are, but I think this quote is very pertinent:

"I've never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure." ~ Mark Twain

Yeah - we had the conversation this morning, and I guess this sounds horrible, but, that goodness they didn't take him alive.

There is now a period at the end of his story and everyone doesn't have to go through the emotional situation of a trial or something.

I don't know, it's controversial for sure, but look at Saddam Hussein, I think the reason he is not considered a martyr is because he had a trial. I worry about the backlash. I don't think it's a matter of if.....

All I can say is God Bless those Navy Seals. They did exactly what they are trained to do. Drop in by helicopter, find their target and eliminate it. I only hope he had a few seconds to realise that it was Americans who were about to kill him.

I'm tremendously thankful the Special Forces Ops all got out safely. Well done men. Thank you. DH put out the flag this morning.

Good idea - I'm going to get my flag out now!
