Santa got the reindeer all gassed up.
Not what it sounds like. Their last batch of feed made them a little gassy.
You don't want to ride in the sleigh behind them.
Don't worry. They'll be ready for Saturday night!
So have a worry free and happy Thursday!

Today's Random Question(s):

Taking piano lessons
Did you sit on Santa's lap as a kid?
Yes, once
What's something you have a knack for?
Spelling, Baking cookies
How deep is the deepest water you ever swam in?
I'd say it was 30 or 40 feet, but I'm not sure.
What was a last or recent offline conversation about?
Mr. Bay and I chatted with a waiter about holiday plans.
Have you ever climbed over a fence? If so, when or why, for instance?
I'm only 5 1½, so I don't climb any fences.
Have you noticed more drivers not going when a traffic light turns green because they're fiddling with a smartphone?
That happens once in a while. I will either wait for a few seconds or tap my horn gently.

Foodie Question(s):
What kind of cake do you like for your birthday?
Usually I don't care for a cake because my birthday is 10 days before Christmas, and by that time I've done so much baking I'm already pretty much ODed on cookies and sweets. But if I were having a cake, I'd like either chocolate or marble cake with fudge frosting.
Name or describe a restaurant you wish was near where you live but isn't:
I've heard so much about Waffle House and Cracker Barrel, I'd like to visit one of those.

Today's Random Question(s):
Something you daydream about:
Christmas Eve of course, Santa's coming!

Did you sit on Santa's lap as a kid?

What's something you have a knack for?
Reading people

How deep is the deepest water you ever swam in?
Have no idea, tried to stay on top of it instead of on the bottom!

What was a last or recent offline conversation about?
Christmas planning & re-planning &... &... &...

Have you ever climbed over a fence?
If so, when or why, for instance?
Many times as a kiddo, everyone in the neighborhood then had chain-link fences... why go all the way around and use the gates when you can go directly from your yard to theirs' over the side?!

Have you noticed more drivers not going when a traffic light turns green because they're fiddling with a smartphone?
Nope, not here at all. But in Dallas that could be a good thing since you need to wait for the 2-3 cars still coming through the intersection before proceeding safely!

Foodie Question(s):
What kind of cake do you like for your birthday?
Chocolate w/vanilla ice cream or red velvet or Italian or...

Name or describe a restaurant you wish was near where you live but isn't:
Too many to list... all from TX --> Tex-Mex, bbq & steak house restaurants!

I daydream about Las Vegas sometimes......... I love the place..........

I did sit on Santa's lap as a kid....... didn't we all? I believe nowadays this isn't allowed, and the kids sit on a little chair next to him, or something like that. It's a long time since I've been in Santa's Grotto. My kids sat on his lap, as it was still allowed back then........

My last conversation was with my wife last night, about what time we're leaving home going shopping this morning. We agreed up and at 'em........ get out there early, and home before the masses gather. I'm ready........ no sign of her yet, and it's 6.30am!!

I've climbed over a lot of high fences in my time. When I was young, and in the army, I was pretty nifty over a 12 foot high wall.......... Last time I climbed a fence was about four years ago. I even talked about it here on c-d.

I was walking over to ASDA as I do sometimes. I used to walk round the back of the supermarket, past all their trucks out back. There was a gate there on the far corner of the store. It was always open, so saved me some time walking the long way round.

This particular day, the gate was locked. Waaaaaal, I decided to climb over it. I climbed up it ok, and straddled the top. I guess it's about 7 feet high. There were no foot holds on the other side, and I sat there trying to decide what to do. I had an audience of two young women stood next to their car in the supermarket car park.

There was nothing else to do........ I sure wasn't going back! So, I swung my leg over, and dropped over to the ground. I waited for a round of applause, but didn't get it. They must have thought to themselves, what's that old geezer playing at?.......... Hurt my knee as well. I managed to hobble off with as much dignity as I could gather.

Today's Random Question(s):
Something you daydream about: Being happily retired.

Did you sit on Santa's lap as a kid? Yes, a couple of times at different years.

What's something you have a knack for?

How deep is the deepest water you ever swam in? Deep end of a large swimming pool, which was about 12 feet.

What was a last or recent offline conversation about? My younger sister talking about firming up the wedding plans for my nephew's wedding coming next month.

Have you ever climbed over a fence? Probably as a young, limber lad. If so, when or why, for instance? I was probably getting chased or chasing after someone in a game of Tag.

Have you noticed more drivers not going when a traffic light turns green because they're fiddling with a smartphone? Yes. I even saw a lady miss her left-turn green arrow because she was engrossed in looking at her phone. By the time she realized the traffic ahead of her had gone through the arrow, she tried to speed up to make it but the arrow turned red, so she had to stop. She got what she deserved!

Foodie Question(s):
What kind of cake do you like for your birthday? German chocolate, please.

Name or describe a restaurant you wish was near where you live but isn't: Texas Roadhouse and Firehouse Subs.
