No it's a hard one I've got a trade and earn well but obviously have to graft for my bread and have the scars/X-rays to prove it!

But you're encouraged to study and you work really hard to get a degree and even a masters like lady Zola you not only struggle whilst at university but then for years to come

A degree is brilliant and it's well worth having of course but there shouldn't be the ongoing hassles that she will have

My heart goes out to students if honest
You've got a Master's Degree have you, Zola? Is that in IT as well?

I wouldn't know what to specialise in, if I went back to Uni, as a 'mature student' (no comments, please! ). I did Combined Science, where I did 4 subjects in the first year, and 2 subjects in the second and third years.

I'm not sure. We only had 3 year degrees, years ago. I wish I could have stretched it out for 4 years!

It's never too late to go back to education. There have always been mature students. In an ideal world, I would just do courses and study for the rest of my life. I love studying new subjects (as long as it's a science). Keeps the old brain cells ticking over too.

That's the thing with yours and Zolas subjects you have to keep on studying as its constantly evolving

I can actually get a degree level qualification in health and safety which is hard to say the least and ALOT fail it but I'd have to actually want to do it...

It's called the NEBOSH diploma ( don't know why it's called that as its NVQ level 6 qual.... Degree level ) it's the most sort after qualification in H&S

You should just go and do the course, while you're still relatively young(ish!). Although, there's the expense as well, of course.

But as you get older, you get more and more responsibilities: work, partners, children, mortgages, bills etc - and these tend to hold you back. So I would advise anyone to do the things they want to do, whilst they are still young.

Id have to decide on that career first LOL

But there's a few stepping stones but all in all I'm hopeful of around the £8000 mark 10'000 max

I'm thinking that I must try to get to sleep, even though it will be absolutely impossible in this heat.
