Good morning peevers.

A beautiful morning here in Jezerville. Chilly but sunny.

December is a heck of a month for me when it comes to birthdays. Within the family there are at least four or five with one on Christmas Eve.

I was out buying cards for these events, as well as general cards for the things that pop up from time to time. As we get older some of those things that pop up are not so happy.

I was looking for one for my mother and I think I did reasonably well. Aren't there times though when you just can't seem to find the right one?

Well, seeing as I'm asking let's find out by making the POTD;

I wish I could find just the right card.

Following on from yesterday's attempt to identify somewhere I visited I'll do something similar today.

This time it will be in the USA, even if it doesn't look like it!

If you know the answer, or wish to guess it, could you put it in the SHOW/HIDE box please!

Oh yes, those December birthdays! I really get hit. Our granddaughter's birthday is the 13th, my sister's the 24th, Mr Chickie's is Christmas Day, and my brother's is the 29th. Wow. But of course in October, my grandson's birthday is on his mama's birthday!

I always try to find Mr. Chickie a nice card which says something about a birthday on Christmas Day but they get fewer and fewer to choose from. He says it's just another day for him so why worry about finding the perfect card.

Great photos Jez.

Another thing Chickie- do you find that the choice of birthday and other cards reduces as Christmas cards fill the shelves?

Yes I do find that reduction of available cards at Christmas time. The merchants want those Christmas bucks. Lots of people buy cards during the holidays and send to loved ones and close friends instead of gift buying. I can't say I blame them. But many people I know, no longer send massive amounts of Christmas cards out, and only send to a small list. That's what I do.

I'd rather write or say what I need to say, not fond of cards. I like simple cards and then write my feelings on it.

I'm with tas on this one. You can find some really pretty cards with nothing on the inside, leaving it wide open for your personal thoughts.

Actually I also do that.

I'm not into these pre written messages.

I still have trouble finding a card with just the right picture.

One of my favourites is by a local photographer.

Hang on- here it is;

Back in the day I used to send out a ton of Christmas cards, but since I moved down here I just send e-cards to a few people and write something personal.

Wow jezer....haven't a clue but that is an interesting place. Love the pool. What is it and where???

Tas, I'm the same as you, not much into cards. When I do want to get a special card, I send DH to pick it out. He is really good with that.
Me not so much. I try to remember to send to special people but I"m afaid I"m lax.

lots of rain later.......not complaining, could be snow. ewww.
