Greetings, kids! Scroll on down for Today's Tip.

RE-USE RIBBON

I found this interesting factoid in the December edition of Real Simple magazine. It said that if every family in the U.S. were to reuse just two feet of ribbon from holiday gift packages each year, the number of miles the saved ribbon would stretch would wrap around the earth and leave enough for a huge bow at the end.

Instead of throwing all that ribbon away this year, save what you can. Take the leftover ribbon and wrap it around a paper-towel tube and secure it with a bit of tape. Then reuse the ribbon on next year's holiday packages.

Another way to store the ribbon is to drape it over the prongs of a tie rack and hang it in a closet.

Remember: reduce, reuse and recycle!

Spouse does this faithfully, so faithfully I had to build some more cabinets in the garage for more stuff to be stored. I have 12 floor to ceiling cabinets, a ceiling rack and 4 smaller cabinets in the garage just for stuff. I get 3 for tools and parts.
