Good morning peevers.

I'm looking to head out and go view some items like windows and carpet for the house today and combine it with a scenic tour round this lovely area. It's time to decorate certain rooms and work will start in the next month or so.

Our so called new extension is far from new and our bedroom is looking tired. Got that at your home? You live with something for years and it either gradually, or suddenly hits you that it's past its sell by date.

Spill the beans- we want to know, because the POTD is;

A room at home needs some TLC.

No room in my house needs TLC! It goes beyond that!!!

My wall-to-wall carpeting is still the same carpeting from when I bought the house, and my suspicions are that it's the same carpeting from when this house was built in 1972!

But you could never tell! Clever me! I just put large area rugs on top of it! It's only the stairs I can't be so clever! But those dimmer switches for the stairwell, they can do wonders, or anywhere else in the house!

The house is fine, all spick-and-spam in there, although the garage is a bit of a mess as I just had it extended to get another car in.

My place for TLC is the orchard as I need to get the last of the fruit off of the trees and the grass before it rots, especially with the wet weather (where I am) seemingly going to be here for a while. The dogs can only eat so much.

You need pigs.

True.. I'm already working on the wife with an idea to get a donkey and a couple of goats in a paddock at the far end of the orchard and I think I'm doing quite well.... Pigs however.. that might be a wee but harder to swing.

That's a seriously loaded question for me since this ancient old place is an ongoing work in progress! I despair of ever being finished. (deep, heavy sigh)

Morning Jezer: Your timing is great as we just had one of our rooms here kinda done over. We have a utility room in our basement and just had a new heating system installed. What a wonder it truly is. The boiler is shorter than me...about the size of a new dishwasher and the hot water tank is also not that big. Our home is quite large, so we have 5 heating zones one being for the hot water heater and the other four for the house. It is so quiet and efficient and I am impressed..a much needed upgrade. Our washer and dryer are down in the utility room and seeing that I am getting on in years (soon to be 65) I am thinking that perhaps some day we can bring the washer and dryer up to the first floor. A new laundry room would be nice right off of our kitchen.
I too was out and about yesterday in our fine weather..what a glorious fall day it was. My daughter in law and I were shopping for Fall decorations for our homes. She is actually quite artistic and knows "what goes with what" as she does have a degree in interior design; I so love taking her with me shopping.
Have a great day Mr. & Mrs. J. and keep us informed as to how the redecorating is going!

Well guess this is the upside of moving so much over the past couple of years - I haven't lived in my new place long enough to be tired of anything.

We're just wrapping up a 100% re-modeling job so everything is new now. But I know someone's place could use some TLC.
