Morning posters.

Today's peeve is close to my heart;

Remakes of films, which
are almost always inferior to the original.

There are so many remakes out there. I think we have lost originality and creativity when it comes to writing movies. It is far easier for them to change an original and make it their own.

Some were cute like "Parent Trap" They weren't all bad but some of them should never have made it past the screening

Here's a list of remakes and there are so many more than I can believe Wow!!

The second "Parent Trap" was, all-in-all, better than the first one and I've watched both countless times since this is my all time favorite movie.

The absolute WORST remake I ever saw was the remake of "Psycho". A complete waste of time.

"WORST" remakes also include:

Little Shop of Horrors The original was hysterical. The remake was stupid.

The Day the Earth Stood Still Hollywood should never mess with a classic.

Thats so true, sometimes the originals are better. But then, some of us who have never seen the 'older' or 'original' versions of some movies may not have even known it was a remake. I never knew there was an original 'Flight of the Phoenix' and liked the newer one...but then, its the only one I knew of.

While not a remake, rather a sequel to GWTW--"Scarlett" was just plain boring.

Re-makes, I agree aren't worth the celluloid they're printed on. They never stand up to the original and many times ruin it altogether. I don't watch them anymore.
