Checking the stats, it looks like people are reading this thread. They just don't want to post to it for some reason.

AFAIK, your options are fairly limited with this one. Google says: Take 495 to 66, then take exit 69 toward US-29/VA-237/Washington Blvd/Lee Hwy and I think that's about your best bet.

Of course, I don't take this route, so maybe someone else knows a shortcut? (I hope I hope)

Does anyone know of any alternate routes to get from Leesburg to Reston without taking the 7 or the Greenway/Toll Road?

It depends on what part of Leesburg, but I'm sure there are backroads Leesburg to Ashburn, and then backroads from Ashburn to Reston. I don't know specific roads, but I would suggest searching this thread as I bet this one has come up before. My husband would occasionally take Church Road, I think? from Ashburn through Sterling into Herndon, and then Dranesville Road to Wiehle.

I like to take Fort Evans Road all the way from Rt 15 to Janelia Research Center (Ashburn Village Blvd.). It becomes Riverside Parkway--I believe this happens after you cross Battlefield Pkwy. Be aware that the stretch through Lansdowne was once known as an easy place to get a speeding ticket, so don't zoom through. However, FWIW, I often drive a few miles over the speed limit and have never gotten a ticket. You'll still have to take 7 for a short ways, but you avoid a lot of it.
